Boarding & Daycare Manager
Pauline Jones
I was born in Vermont and grew up in Miami. My parents raised toy poodles for a few years when I was as young as six years old. I don’t remember a time that I was ever without a dog in our family. I had an uncle that had a farm and helped out when we stayed for the summer. While we lived in Georgia, I decided to help a rescue and fostered as many dogs as I could. I wanted to save them all. I had dogs from a hoarding case, and they were feral, malnourished and had mange. I rehabbed them and got them adopted to loving homes. Then I was in a serious motorcycle accident and I had to stop fostering. We sold our two story home and moved back to Florida. I took a few years to get back to health and I decided to try Rover out. It was just like riding a bike. I have lots of returning clients who can see how much I love all animals. I’m retired and my kids are all grown up. I love what I do, I have not met a dog that did not like me.
Trainers Helper
Rocket
Rocket was rescued from Orange County Animal Shelter in 2019 with no previous training and a few bad habits.
His previous owners kept him chained up outside day and night and never gave him the necessary attention.
Through hard work and dedication, Rocket has been able to overcome his bad obedience and fear of men and is now a valued member of our team, even assisting in training sessions! Rocket has helped a number of pups overcome their issues with things like reactivity and aggression.
In Rocket's free time, he likes to sunbathe under the Florida sun, play fetch and snack on cheese!
Boarding Buddy
Payton
Payton was a Walmart puppy - free to a good home….. one of Pauline's rescue friends thought they could keep her, but there jobs did not allow time with her and she was crated most of her puppy days.
She was five months old when they got her. Shortly after that, they decided to rehome her. That's when Pauline started to foster her, with the hopes of her getting adopted, but she was too shy and never connected with anyone.
After two years with no interest, Pauline decided to adopt her. With hard work and dedication from Pauline, now you can’t stop her from smiling at everyone she meets! She will be ten in March.
